It's amazing how much money you can save by shopping online. One of the tricks I share is to use "coupon codes". If you aren't familiar with coupon codes, don't be alarmed, they're easy to use. Vendors place codes online with discounts. Last year, I purchased a bible online for my daughter and paid $3.00 for shipping after I used the coupon codes. It's amazing how it can work to your advantage. Here's the trick. Go to your favorite search engine and type in "coupon codes". Walla! You will get a listing of web sites that offer coupon codes. A Direct Clickable LinkIf your coupon offer has this, the prompt will be to "click HERE!" The coupon will be in your cart when you check out from the merchant's store. 2. A Coupon Code: If a coupon code is provided, COPY the code down exactly. Then click on the link to the merchant, this is usually the merchant's name, and go shopping! With both types of coupons an important tip: BE SURE YOUR DISCOUNT IS REFLECTED before checking out!Testing for Toy SafetyThe following tips will help consumers choose appropriate toys: (CPSC) Do the Toilet Paper Roll Test: Any toy small enough to fit completely inside a toilet paper roll is small enough to pose a threat of choking. Select toys to suit the age, abilities, skills, and interest level of the intended child. Toys too advanced may pose safety hazards to younger children. For infants, toddlers, and all children who still mouth objects, avoid toys with small parts which could pose a fatal choking hazard. Look for sturdy construction, such as tightly secured eyes, noses, and other potential small parts. For all children under age 8, avoid toys that have sharp edges and points. Do not purchase electric toys with heating elements for children under age 8. Be a label reader. Look for labels that give age recommendations and use that information as a guide. Check instructions for clarity. They should be clear to you, and when appropriate, to the child. Immediately discard plastic wrappings on toys, which can cause suffocation, before they become deadly playthings.
