This will be a 15 minute presentation, plus 5 minutes to answerquestions, in front of the class. The presentation should be backed by slidesor other multimedia aids. A copy of these slides or other notes should behanded out to everyone in the class before the talk. In addition, an electroniccopy must be submitted to the TI via email, for addition to the classweb page, no later than the Monday directly before class. The notes, which caneither be your slides or a summary of them, should present a concise summary ofthe paper, useful both to your fellow classmates for reference when rereadingthe papers and as a guide for others reading the paper for the first time, andshould include such important information as the title and authors of the paperand its publication data, as well as your name.Acceptable formats for the notes are: HTML slides, linked to from a central index page. PowerPoint presentation; these must also be converted to HTML.You are welcome to use my laptop for the presentations; however, if you are expectingto do so, I must have a copy of your presentation, in HTML format (no PowerPoint .ppt files!), by 5 pm the day beforeclass, with the following constraints: Emailed to me as a gzip, zip, or bziped archive. Consisting of a single directory with your login name as the name, e.g., alterman/ Contains an index file named alterman/index.html which points to the rest of your presentation. Has been tested under Netscape 4.0 or greater or Mozilla 6.0. I'm not responsible if your presentation doesn't look right on my laptop, but I will test it if you ask me to and make sure it looks ok.Final ProjectsEach participant will be required to do a Final Project for the class, asdiscussed in session.
