Congressman and former physics professor Vern Ehlers will be our after-dinner speaker. Visit the ACMS booth at the joint meetings to inquire about availability of tickets. More details are on the order form.   ACMS members presenting at the Joint Mathematics MeetingsA list of ACMS members presenting at the Joint Mathematics Meetings has been compiled by Ray Rosentrater and is available both here and at the ACMS booth at the meetings.   Job Center The first ads for positions beginning fall 2009 have been posted. Check the job center regularly for updates.   Seventeenth Biennial ACMS ConferenceMark your calendars for May 27-30, 2009 for the ACMS meeting, to be held at Wheaton College. Individuals wishing to present at the meeting should send abstracts by January 31 to the conference coordinator Terry Perciante (terry.p at wheaton dot edu). The featured speaker at the conference will be David Bressoud; other invited speakers include James Sellers and Jim Bradley. Registration will begin late March.   Pre-conference WorkshopAn invited workshop will be held prior to the ACMS conference for the purpose of planning a book project. The workshop will be led by Jim Bradley and Russ Howell; their previous project resulted in the book Mathematics in a Postmodern Age: A Christian Perspective (Eerdmans, 2001).
