Kentucky has an
ever-increasing number of
local beekeeping associations, or bee clubs, in the
various regions of Kentucky. These associations are a great source
of beekeeping information and assistance for Kentucky beekeepers.
The association publishes a bi-monthly newsletter, "Kentucky Bee Line",
and holds spring, summer and fall conferences in different locations around Kentucky.
Kentucky
has its own State Apiarist. His mission is to prevent and
control diseases in Kentucky apiaries.
The Queen Breeding Project aims to provide the
Kentucky Beekeepers with a "Kentucky" honeybee that will
over-winter well and perform to its optimum capacity.
