The HFML is committed to research in the highest
available magnetic fields (33T continous, 60T pulsed). It is a Large
European Research Infrastructure, open to outside users, with an active
local user group. Local research interests focus among others on
low-dimensional electron gases, magnetic manipulation of matter and
optical and far-infrared spectroscopy.
The HFML is run by the Faculty of Science of the Radboud University Nijmegen and is sponsored through FOM and the EU to allow access of external users.
The HFML is part of the Institute of Molecules and Materials (IMM) which concentrates on nanostructures, design, structure and properties of (molecular) matter.
